"Suiting Up" for a Cause

Meet David

I feel like I've been able to make the most of my experience at every turn. I've been able to enjoy my time here at UF incredibly, and am thankful for all the opportunities I had.

David Nassau, then a junior in high school, showed up for classes one day wearing a suit. When asked why he was dressed up, he joked that he was on the school's varsity hopscotch team.

What began as a joke five years ago has become a passion that has positively impacted thousands.

David created "Hopping 4 A Cure," a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that hits close to home for him. David's father has been battling MS for more than a decade.

Inspired by his father's battle, David has helped raise more than $30,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society by hosting hopscotch tournaments and related events across Florida. In 2015, the organization awarded its first-ever scholarship to a UF student with MS.

David is positively impacting the lives of fellow Gators through his tireless work ethic and passion for helping others—two valuable traits that were enhanced while at Warrington.
